The Badalonian
Fictional magazine covers inspired by The New Yorker, portraying the city of Badalona and created by local illustrators
in an initiative by Genie Espinosa. I had the pleasure of illustrating the Christmas edition cover, depicting the arrival of the city’s largest tree. For a few weeks, it becomes a beacon, a meeting point, and the subject of countless photos that will likely never be revisited—a tree that welcomes Christmas and wishes everyone a joyful start to the year. These holidays, marked by nostalgic happiness and the spectacle of consumption, remind us to celebrate in our own way.
