En Hora Bona
Vintner Joan Rubió , the curatorial collective "Gracias por su visita," and the distributor "Dios ni dor" S.L. organized a branding competition during the pandemic to christen the release of a limited edition sparkling wine and design its label. This sparkling wine was inspired by the motto "let us have a toast before continuing the subject of global crisis."
My proposal was to name it "En Hora Buena," playing with the double meaning of the spanish word for celebrating and having good timing for a glass. My graphic proposal consisted in two large parentheses that momentarily paused the uncertainty of global issues. this approach was chosen as the winning entry.

After the lockdown ended, "Gracias por su visita" reached out to me to refine the graphic proposal and integrate some of my analog illustrations into the label design. The vintner was eager to infuse a more artistic and painterly touch, bringing the label closer to the realm of Fine Arts.

Final labels for the "En Hora Buena" sparkling wine featuring more conceptual illustrations that reflect on the pandemic and its conclusion. The limited edition comprised 120 bottles of an ancestral xarel·lo from the 2018 harvest.
