BESTIARY - JOSEP CARNER

Bestiaries — collections or series of poems featuring animals — are almost a literary genre in themselves, practiced by poets from all cultures and traditions since antiquity to the present day. Bestiaries easily connect with the parameters of fables, allegory, and satirical poetry, as well as with the traditions of popular and children's poetry, and a bit of all of this is what we find in the most important modern bestiaries written by Catalan authors like Josep Carner.

I have created a collection of illustrations for the illustrated and musically accompanied book of Josep Carner's Bestiary, a collaborative work conceived by Joan Díaz and published by Adep.cat.

The illustrations were created using analog techniques, painting with Ecoline.
