Innovamat - SAM

I've had the pleasure of being part of the SAM project team, creating illustrations and finalizing the webtoons for various chapters.

Sam’s Journey is material offered to secondary school students. It tells the story of a 14 years old girl who suddenly finds herself in a strange world, unsure of how she got there or what is expected of her, much like how all students feel at that age. Gradually, she will discover her purpose in this world and her connection to the important mathematicians she encounters along the way.

In this way, Sam and the students will come to understand that math is not merely an abstraction, nor just a simple tool, but a complex and beautiful language for exploring and understanding the world. They will realize that mathematics evolves in response to real human needs rather than just curricular requirements.

Innovamat is an educational initiative aimed at promoting a competency-based, personalized, and practical approach to learning mathematics. It targets children aged 3 to 16 and prioritizes understanding of the content and the development of mathematical skills related to problem-solving. The initiative encourages learning through experimentation, conversation, and individualized practice. In this regard, Innovamat provides sequenced learning pathways, resources, training, and support to the educational community, in collaboration with experts in math didactics.
